Claiming a disability you do not have
Idaho Code 18-5811A makes it a misdemeanor to use a service dog or assistance animal to seek treatment reserved for a person with a disability.
Harming a working dog
Idaho Code 18-5812 covers intentionally injuring or killing a service dog, assistance animal or dog-in-training, with jail of up to a year, a fine up to $5,000, or both.
Turning a service dog away
Under Idaho Code 18-5812A, a person with a disability may not be denied housing for rent or a public place because of a service dog, or charged extra for it; an intentional violation is a misdemeanor.
